Seats for the Temple Beth El Mekor Chayim (TBEMC) & Pascarella Planning Group, LLC Goods and Services Auction, set for November 16, 2013 at 7:30 PM at TBEMC, 338 Walnut Avenue, Cranford, NJ are quickly selling out, but there is still time to register for one of the most spectacular events held at TBEMC. This fundraiser features an extensive tricky tray, numerous silent auction items and a live auction with bidding.
Last year, this sold-out activity raised over $23,000 for TBEMC, and this year the items and services offered exceed those available for bidding last time in both value and diversity.Items include a day-long deep sea fishing trip, overnight accommodations for two in Brussels, Amsterdam, and Paris, wine tastings in California and a Napa Valley Wine train ride, hotel and dinner in Boca Raton, weekends in Boston and Philadelphia including accommodations and activities, various condo timeshares, Disney tickets, NASCAR and other sport collectibles/tickets. Local offerings including restaurant gift certificates, three weekend packages at the Madison Hotel, gym memberships, a sailboat ride on the Hudson, golf foursomes, ski lift tickets and food tours in NYC. There are also many items geared to families and children.
Spirited bidding wars ensued at last year’s event and are just a part of the appeal of the evening. The auction, held locally in Cranford, is open to the public, and enthusiasts come from across NJ to attend. Some of the fun comes from not knowing what you are going win. Allen Barkin, President of TBEMC, attended the event last year and had a fantastic time, not only bidding on items, but bidding against friends for coveted items up for bid.
TBEMC is still recovering from damages sustained in Hurricane Irene, and some of the proceeds from the auction will be used to complete some final repairs. The balance will go towards innovative programs offered throughout the year at TBEMC.
Tickets are $35 per person and the admission price includes dairy appetizers, drinks, dessert, five tricky tray tickets and a bidding paddle. Pay online at www.tbemc.org
