EDISON, NJ – The ninth-seed Edison Eagles Boys baseball team took to the field with confidence coming off their recent win over cross-town rivals, J.P. Stevens 6-4. The 16th-seeded Westfield Blue Bevils showed up equally confident after their recent win against Bridgewater-Raritan 5-2.

The Eagles scored one run in the bottom of the first inning on a fielder’s choice by Nick Peterson.

The game remained 1-0 until the bottom of the fourth when the Eagles scored another run on a passed ball to score Matt Daniels.

The Blue Devils scored their only run in the fifth inning.

With two outs in the fifth inning, Edison scored two more runs on a double by Kyle Telesnick and a single by Brandon Radd who stole second and scored off an infield single by Peterson.

Edison scored their final run in the sixth inning after a sacrifice bunt by Justin Hernandez and a sacrifice fly by Nick Clausen to score Daniels.

Radd allowed three hits over five innings with four walks and four strikeouts to help Edison earn a 5-1 victory over Westfield in the quarterfinal round of the North Jersey, Section 2, Group 4 tournament in Edison.

Edison High School (9) will play Millburn (5) on May 26 in Millburn.

East Brunswick Rabbi Charged with Engaging in Prostitution with a Child

February 19, 2018

EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ - Aryeh Goodman, 35, the rabbi from the  East Brunswick Chabad Learning Center, has been charged with one count of engaging in prostitution with a child and one count of endangering the welfare of a child.  He was one of 30 men charged with having sex with the teenager over a four-week period.
