CLARK, NJ – Westfield’s Patrick Aslanian and Luke Prybylski were the final pieces of that the Union County Tournament needed to set a repeat of the 2014 championship game.

Backed by Aslanian’s three goals and three assists, and Prybylski’s game-high four goals, the top-seeded Blue Devils defeated Cranford, 10-5, in the UCIAC semifinal, setting up a rematch with No. 2 Summit.

Westfield never trailed in the game, scoring three goals on Cranford goalkeeper Ryan Shupp in the first eight minutes of the game.

Cranford’s Mark Christiano broke the shutout in the second period, but the Cougars were never able to get within striking distance of the Blue Devils.

Aside from Prybylski and Aslanian, Westfield received goals from Kyle Rittendale and James Brucia.

Christiano, and his brother Luke, and Richie Hurley also scored for Cranford.

The Blue Devils face Summit in the county final on Saturday at Arthur L. Johnson High School. Face-off is slated for 7 p.m.
