PISCATAWAY, NJ — The Westfield boys swim team avenged its 2019 loss in the Union County Championships with an impressive victory over defending champion Summit and Scotch Plains-Fanwood on Sunday afternoon at Rutgers Sonny Werblin Pool.

“We came in motivated. This means a lot to us,” said senior co-captain Kyle Altman, who anchored the winning 200 Freestyle Relay. “We wanted to do for this for the younger generation.”

“I think we pushed ourselves today,” said senior co-captain Jeremy Kronheimer, who also swam on the 200 Freestyle Relay. “It's our biggest meet. From our loss last year, we were motivated to do well this year.”
