WESTFIELD, NJ — Brownie Points Bakery, which has a popular shop in Summit, opened its Westfield location Saturday at 339 South Ave. West in the space formerly occupied by San Marzano Pasta Bar. They offer classic American desserts baked from scratch, including cupcakes, layer cakes, pies, cookies, brownies, cheesecakes, scones and a popular doughnut-muffin hybrid called the “duffin,” as well as hot chocolate, coffee and espresso drinks.
“We’ve been looking to expand for a while and this happened to be a great location right by the train with parking,” said Co-Owner Peter Lloyd.
He and Co-Owner Bob Conway, both Westfield residents, had scoped out Westfield for their first store six years ago, but instead opened in Summit on Beechwood Road. That didn’t stop Westfield dessert lovers from seeking out their sweet treats.
“We have a lot of customers from Westfield at our Summit store,” said Conway.
The drive just got a lot shorter.
Brownie Points Westfield’s current hours are Monday through Friday 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
