SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ — A vehicle crashed into the front door of the UPS store located at 2560 Rte 22 East, Scotch Plains just after 10 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 15. Scotch Plains police responded and found a 2016 Green Subaru on the sidewalk in front of the building with heavy front end damage.
The driver was a 93-year-old Fanwood woman who was not injured, according to the Scotch Plains police.
The Scotch Plains Fire Department responded for a fluid spill, as well as the township building department, which inspected the building and determined that although it was damaged it remained structurally sound.
The vehicle was towed from the scene.
