On October 5th, Heifer International invites the greater Westfield community to Beyond Hunger: Communities of Change; a free family event celebrating the nonprofit’s first 70 years of ending hunger and poverty. It will take place from 1:00-3:00 p.m. in the Westfield Municipal Building Community Room, 425 East Broad St., Westfield, NJ  07090.

Among other activities such as themed crafts and games, attendees will also get the chance to make butter from scratch and participate in special demonstrations while enjoying light refreshments.

“The goal is for all ages to have fun and celebrate with us, learn about agriculture and world resources, and discover new ways to help end hunger and poverty,” said Valerie Danzey, Community Engagement Coordinator for Heifer International.  The event is free and open to the public.
