CLARK, NJ – A physical altercation between two students at the Arthur L. Johnson High School resulted in one boy's arrest Tuesday morning, Clark Police have confirmed.
According to Clark Chief of Police Pedro Matos, a security guard intervened between the students and restrained one of them.
No injuries were reported and no weapons were involved, Matos said. Matos said that, to his knowledge, the school did not go on lockdown.
"There was no risk to the larger student body," Superintendent of Schools Edward Grande said. "Student safety was not compromised."
The arrested student, a juvenile, will be released to his parents pending an investigation, Matos said.
