CLARK, NJ – Clark Police arrested a suspect in connection with a residential burglary on Wednesday afternoon.

According to Police Chief Pedro Matos, police responded to a call from an alert resident in the area of Orchard Terrace and Hawthorne Drive around 1 p.m.   The resident reported seeing a suspicious blue BMW SUV in the area.

Once on the scene, officers located the SUV parked in the area and soon after found Khiry S. Moody, 28 years old of Summer Ave. in Plainfield, walking in the back yard of a home.

Matos indicated Moody was in found in possession of a bag suspected to contain proceeds from a residential burglary he allegedly had just committed.

Police identified a home on Orchard Terrace that had been burglarized and arrested Moody.

There were no reported injuries during this event.  The following officers were involved in the incident, Captain Grady, Lt. Pitts, Det. Sgt. Lott, Sgt. Shackleton, Det. Sgt. Marmarou, Officers Oliveira, Henriques, Elwardany, Pazdan and Somma and Detectives Mcdonald, Ciaccio
Soos and Joy.
