On Sunday, November 21, volunteers at Congregation Beth Israel in Scotch Plains collected gently used coats to be distributed to those in need through Jersey Cares, a non-profit, community-based organization that operates throughout the state.  For fourteen years, the Jersey Cares Coat Drive has mobilized the collection and distribution of thousands of winter coats to men, women, children and infants in need. Congregation Beth Israel’s Social Action Committee has participated in the Jersey Cares Coat Drive for several years.  Volunteers pictured (from left) are: Diana Winigrad; Lisa Weisser; Diana Cooper; Renee Litwin; and Madison Cooper.
