To My Friends and Neighbors, Residents of the Fourth Ward:

It has been my honor to serve as your councilman since 2010.  I am running again to preserve the character of our community and to keep Westfield the premiere place to live in New Jersey.

I am fortunate to be able to work with an experienced mayor and council who are fully committed to these same goals for our town.

It is a challenge to maintain our quality of life and our municipal services when we are only able to retain 16 ½ cents on every tax dollar paid by our citizens. Those funds are precious, and I am committed to make sure they are always well spent.

We accomplished many tasks working together, including: expanding the parking lots at Westfield High School and Edison Intermediate School; enforcing the railway quiet zone on Rahway Avenue; stopping the proposed 150-foot tall cell tower at the Armory; paving numerous roads; establishing a tree ordinance to protect our shade trees; bringing solar panels to the Memorial Library; securing one-seat rides to New York Penn Station during off-peak hours; and reducing the size of our municipal payroll by 20 percent while avoiding layoffs and continuing our excellent fire, police and public works services.

I am proud of our accomplishments. However, there is always more work to be done. In my next term, I will focus on controlling municipal spending and seeking alternate sources of funding; improving our downtown and parks; working with our state and federal officials to secure peak one-seat rides into NYC; and keeping Westfield a great place to live.

As I have done throughout my time on council, I will continue to walk our neighborhoods and knock on your doors to hear your thoughts for improving our town. In my time on council, I have been able to implement many of the suggestions I have received from my neighbors.

My campaign kicks off with Keith Loughlin’s BBQ & Bull Riding Contest on Monday, April 3, 2017, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Westfield Knights of Columbus, 2400 North Avenue, Scotch Plains, NJ. Admission is $50. Please like my new Facebook Page for more information about this event and my campaign.

I will continue to work hard to earn your vote this November.

Thank you for your continued support.
