“John," a Persian Gulf War veteran being treated through Youth & Family Counseling Service’s Bravest First Program was the lucky recipient of a new bicycle from the Courier News.

“We are so pleased to present 'John' with this gift and we are extremely grateful to the Courier News for their donation” stated Carol Pedro, Executive Director of Youth & Family Counseling Service. "John’s” bicycle, second hand and repaired, was his only transportation and it was stolen last fall. Making appointments and getting to his job were a challenge. This gift makes a huge difference in John’s life.

YFCS’s Bravest First Program is unique in its ability to treat mental health issues of both active military and veterans for no cost, by licensed professionals.
