WESTFIELD, NJ — Midtown Authentic, a designer resale store, celebrated its grand opening at at 129 E. Broad St. in Downtown Westfield recently.
Midtown Authentic buys what they call “ex-boyfriend gifts,” such as bags, shoes, watches and jewelry along other designer items. They buy, sell and trade only the best authentic designer couture, according to owner Rory Chadwick
Attending the ribbon cutting were (pictured) Downtown Westfield Corporation Executive Director Sherry Cronin; Councilman Sam Della Fera; Greater Westfield Area Chamber of Commerce Board Member Darielle Walsh; Mayor Andy Skibitsky; owner Rory Chadwick; GWACC Executive Director Gene Jannotti; Robert Altadonna and Laura Cicci of Midtown Authentic; and GWACC Board Member Terry Viney. Not pictured was DWC Assistant Executive Director Beth Brenner.
“It’s really great how the mayor and some of the town’s business people came together to welcome me in this official ribbon cutting,” said Chadwick, who also has a 11-year-old store in Hoboken. “I’ve never experienced anything like this in my life. When I opened in Hoboken the town didn't do anything like this. Westfield a very special place and happy to call it my newest home for my newest store. I’m very lucky to be surrounded by caring people like the mayor and chamber of commerce, plus Sherry Cronin.”
Not long after the shop first opened this month, Chadwick helped organize a donation drive in town for victims of Hurricane Harvey. To read about that, click here.
