WESTFIELD, NJ — A day after Edison Intermediate School was evacuated due to a bomb threat on social media, parents got word from Superintendent Margaret Dolan Thursday that “disturbing” graffiti had been found in one of the school’s bathrooms.
Details about the graffiti were not included in the email that parents received, but Dolan wrote that the Westfield Police Department was notified immediately and, together with the building administrators, determined there was no threat to the school.
She also said that students followed their regular schedule of classes all day without interruption and that authorities were reviewing security footage.
TAPinto has reached out to Westfield Public Schools for comment.
Edison is the same school that was on a shelter-in-place lockdown last Wednesday after police received a “concerning phone call in the vicinity of Edison School.”
