WESTIELD, NJ — Families flocked to Downtown Westfield Sunday for the town's annual trick-or treat, parade and costume contest. 

Kids collected candy from retail stores and restaurants throughout Downtown Westfield from noon until 2 p.m.

At 2:15, families marched the Optimist Club of Westfield’s Halloween Parade, led by the Westfield High School Marching Blue Devils.

Afterward, kids in pre-school through elementary school were awarded prizes in a costume contest sponsored by Downtown Westfield Corporation.

Westfield Public Schools Celebrate High School and Intermediate Music Honors

Westfield High School sophomore Brooke Walden auditioned and was selected to the New Jersey All-State Wind Ensemble and Orchestra for a second straight year.  Brooke was the top scoring piccolo player and ranked third on the flute.  She will perform in February with the Wind Ensemble and in November with the Orchestra.
