WESTFIELD, NJ — This Thursday, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., Downtown Westfield Corporation will sponsor its popular Girls’ Night Out in Westfield, rain or shine. More than 2,000 women are expected to visit the more than 80 downtown businesses offering sales, discounts, refreshments, entertainment, gifts and more that evening.
The first 1,500 ladies who pre-register will get a surprise complimentary gift when they stop by 125 Elm St., sponsored by Downtown Westfield Corporation in partnership with Juxtapose Gallery. Tote bags will be sponsored by Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield.
Among the promotions that evening, French restaurant Amuse will offer 10 percent off of checks, Clint Harp of HGTV's “Fixer Upper” will visit The Farmhouse Store, Lord & Taylor will host a fragrance bar, Sofi’s Color Lounge will celebrate its grand opening, Evalyn Dunn Gallery will offer 20 percent off store-wide (with some exclusions) and Keller Williams Realty will offer complimentary headshots with a professional photographer and makeup artist.

Entertainment that evening will be provided by Michael Doyle (rock) at the corner of Elm Street and Quimby Streets from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and by Nikki Briar and The Sweetbriar Band (“a taste of county, a lick of rock”) in the 105 Elm Street Park from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Once again, "chivalrous" local male dignitaries and volunteers will greet women at the event and open doors to shops.
“Girls’ Night Out is a great way to get acquainted with many of the downtown businesses,” Sherry Cronin, executive director of the DWC, said. “It is a much-anticipated event and provides a unique opportunity to have an evening out with your girlfriends. The businesses are excited to welcome the ladies to demonstrate their latest products and services. The ladies just have a great time downtown, and many stay for dinner and drinks.”
