SCOTCH PLAINS-FANWOOD, NJ -- The JCC of Central NJ in Scotch Plains (1391 Martine Ave.) will host Faye Mandell, PhD and Nicole Riesman Rock, MA, co-authors of The Children’s Book for Parents on Wednesday, September 10.  The authors describe their book as “is the instruction manual they never gave you when your child was born," and it is intended to help parents transform their relationship between themselves and their children.

Through simple yet insightful true experiences that all families can relate to, parents will learn how to enter their child's world and have a chance to see everyday situations from a child’s perspective.

Two sessions, presented by the JCC’s Brody Family Early Learning Center, will start at 9:30 a.m. and at 7:00 p.m. Mandell and Rock, a JCC parent, will explain how to access their child's world to bring the most joy and harmony to their parent/child relationships.

To those of us in Jewish education, it is a continuing source of disappointment that so many Jews still believe the kosher laws to be outdated.
