WESTFIELD, NJ — When the owners of Fiamma Wood Fired Pizza decided to quietly open the shop Thursday night, curious diners quickly ambled in. By Friday night, the little restaurant at 108 Quimby St., where Pita Grill once stood, was packed.
“Last night was amazing,” said Tony Fetahaj, co-owner and chef, during the restaurant’s ribbon cutting ceremony Saturday.
Pizzas here are formed, topped and expertly fired in a matter of minutes, although there may be a longer wait when the restaurant is busy, Fatahaj said.
“Our food is good, service is good, hospitality — it’s our number one priority,” said Fetahaj. “We want to make everyone feel like they’re at their own home.”
Fiamma is BYO and does not accept reservations. Open for lunch and dinner.
The Westfield pizzeria is the second location for Fiamma. The other opened in Millburn less than a year ago. To learn more, visit www.fiamma-pizza.com or call 908-654-0401. Take-out available.
