WESTFIELD, NJ — Central Avenue is in full bloom once again with Queen of Balcon Ivy geraniums thanks to the efforts of William Nursery, Downtown Westfield Corporation (DWC), and the Town of Westfield Department of Public Works.

Downtown Westfield Corporation annually funds the downtown flowers as part of their "Westfield in Bloom" beautification efforts and Williams Nursery has been a great partner in not only selecting the plants, storing them in their greenhouses, but also assisting with their installation.

Special thanks to the Town of Westfield Department of Public Works for their assistance in installing the baskets on Central Avenue and the baskets on historic light poles downtown. Special thanks to Williams Nursery staff for planting the baskets on Central Avenue and delivering the planter boxes of Dragon Winged Begonias around the downtown Special Improvement District (SID). The DWC also employs resident and this year’s summer intern Chris Prasek, who ensures that the flowers are watered regularly throughout the summer.
