The Franklin Elementary School Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is gearing up for its annual Pumpkin Fair to be held on Saturday, October 22, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m on the school grounds located at 700 Prospect Street.

The Pumpkin Fair is Franklin’s annual tradition featuring fun games, an inflatable obstacle course, face painting, glitter tattoos, creepy crafts, and the all-time favorite Giant Cookie Walk.

A variety of gift baskets will be raffled off, goldfish will be won, and there will be tons of food to eat including cotton candy, pizza, hot dogs and baked goods.

Each year, Franklin holds a student poster contest regarding the event, and this year’s winning posters are currently displayed throughout downtown Westfield.  The winners are:  first graders Dylan West and Tyler Altobelli; second graders Maddy Manger and Riley O'Keefe; third graders Mila Montero, Ella Dolling and Elizabeth Heflin; fourth graders Mia Alev and Keegan Murphy; and fifth graders Betheny Swartz and Domenica Allarde.

The Pumpkin Fair is the largest fundraiser Franklin School organizes and a kid favorite.

“It’s a much loved Franklin tradition open to everyone as a celebration of fall fun and happy children,” said Pumpkin Fair co-chair, Kristen Pfister. “It’s a special day filled with laughter, activities, games and prizes. We look forward to seeing hundreds of people from the community enjoying a great fall day. Please bring the family and join us."
