WESTFIELD, NJ — As the Friends of the Westfield Memorial Library get ready for this year’s annual used book, DVD and CD sale April 26 through April 30, the organization is asking for volunteers from the community to join their efforts.

"Volunteering is not only a great way to help the library — it is fun to help adults and children find books they want at bargain prices and to meet other people who enjoy books and volunteering,” said Dave Machlowitz, co-president of the Friends. “For students, it is also an excellent way to earn community service credits."

Volunteers are needed for a wide variety of roles from April 21 through April 30, including helping donors as they drop off books, helping customers find books, sorting books and working as cashiers.
