WESTFIELD, NJ — A juvenile girl was struck by a car on the 100 block of Dudley Avenue on Halloween night, according to Captain Scott Rodger of the Westfield Police. The accident happened at approximately 6:22 p.m.

"It was very dark and the families and kids going door-to-door were having a hard time crossing the street. We saw some standing and waiting at the crosswalks and others were cutting across the street," said Hawkins. "It was between Clark and Prospect right on Dudley. The poor girl was on the floor crying and luckily there were a lot of people willing to help go over and help her. So glad she is okay."

The accident is under investigation.
