WESTFIELD, NJ – The annual Westfield Fire Department FMBA Local 30 golf outing is planned for Monday, Oct. 23, at Echo Lake Country Club in Westfield, NJ.

“We have already received tremendous support from area businesses and sponsors,” Westfield firefighter and golf committee member Bryan Crawford said. “The money we raise here really goes right back to the community. Because of community support at events like this, the Local 30 is able to be present at things like block parties and educational events. Most importantly, we’re able to help fellow Local 30 families that are in need.”

According to the FMBA Local 30 website, “Westfield FMBA Local 30 is a nonprofit organization focused on giving back to the community in which it serves. Currently it holds 35 members, which allows it to be diverse and supportive to the town of Westfield.”

“It’s really great that we’ve already sold out of spaces for golfers,” Crawford continued. “We have over 30 sponsors from Westfield and across Union County, with more coming in at all times. If community members aren’t golfing, they can still join us for the dinner at Echo Lake Country Club. Donations directly through our website are really helpful to our organization, too.”

Golfer sign-in begins at 10 a.m. followed by an 11 a.m. brunch and  noon shotgun start on the course. While golfer space is currently sold out, donations and reservations for the 6 p.m. dinner are still being accepted.
