WESTFIELD, NJ — The Greater Westfield Area Chamber of Commerce (GWACC) has appointed Gene Jannotti as its new executive director. Jannotti, a member of the chamber for more than two years, had been serving as interim director. He has also served as a member of the board of directors and chairman of the membership committee. Jannotti continues to work as a travel agent for Unique Cruise & Travel in Garwood.

“I am very pleased to take on this role for the Greater Westfield Area Chamber of Commerce,” Jannotti told TAP into Westfield. “I look forward to working with the 300-plus business members to bring them new opportunities for enhancing their business and to increase the membership in the five towns that we serve.”

“[Jannotti] has demonstrated a willingness to work tirelessly on behalf of the local business community and has a keen understanding of their fundamental needs and concerns,” said GWACC Chairman Chris Devine. “We look forward to working together to build and strengthen the solid foundation already in place at the chamber, and to continue to promote local businesses within the five communities of Fanwood, Garwood, Mountainside, Scotch Plains and Westfield that are currently served by the Greater Westfield Area Chamber of Commerce.”
