WESTFIELD, N — The Greater Westfield Area Chamber of Commerce marked the move to its new office at 212 Lenox Ave. in Downtown Westfield Saturday with a grand opening celebration.
Representatives from the Downtown Westfield Corporation, Mayor-Elect Shelley Brindle, Garwood Mayor Charles Lombardo, Westfield Councilman Mark LoGrippo and past executive directors of the GWACC joined members and staff for the ribbon-cutting ceremony followed by a buffet lunch from 16 Prospect.
“After 69 years, approaching 70 years, it’s great that for the first time ever we’re on a street-level storefront location,” GWACC Executive Director Gene Jannotti said. “We’re just pleased to be here. It’s a very nice place and hopefully now we can be an even bigger part of the community.”
Several people helped make the move from Elm Street possible, according to the chamber, including Charlie Cacici at Main Street Movers, Elaine Fernando of Organized Transitions, Jacie Civins at Evalyn Dunn Gallery, Infantino Brothers Disposal Co., Mitch Beinhaker of The Beinhaker Law Firm, Kamal Assad of Signarama and Steve Needle of NeedlePoint homes.
The GWACC serves businesses and non-profit organizations and supports the local economies in Westfield, Scotch Plains, Fanwood, Garwood and Mountainside. The chamber includes nearly 500 member businesses and organizations. For more information, visit www.gwaccnj.com.
