WESTFIELD, NJ — Heavy rains Saturday morning are causing flooding on local roads.

The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood warning for the area until 10:30 a.m.

The Garwood Police Department  sent out an alert via Nixle at 8:45 a.m. that South Avenue and West Street are closed due to flooding. It said to expect delays and avoid the area, and advised people, “Do not drive through standing water.”
