Catholic schools around the country will celebrate National Catholic Schools Week January 29th – February 4th.  This year’s theme is Communities of Faith, Knowledge, and Service.  Holy Trinity School truly embodies the tradition of Catholic education and has week-long activities and celebrations planned for its students, faculty, staff, and community.

Holy Trinity School will kick-off its week-long celebrations by participating in Mass at St Helen’s at 9:30 a.m., Our Lady of Lourdes in Mountainside at 9:30 a.m., or the Catholic Church of the Holy Trinity in Westfield at 12:00 p.m.  Following Mass, Holy Trinity School invites all those interested in learning more about Catholic education to its open houses.  The Early Education Center (age 2 through full-day Kindergarten) located at 304 Central Avenue in Mountainside will host an Open House from 10:15 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., and the Westfield campus (full-day Kindergarten through 8th grade) located at 336 First Street, will offer an Open House from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.  The Westfield campus also will be showing the movie Zootopia starting at 1:15 p.m. for those attending the Open House.  All are invited to attend. Tours of the school will be available for parents during the film, and the faculty will be attendance to answer any questions.

Throughout Catholic Schools Week, students and faculty will be participating in a number of activities that include prayer and reflection through retreat activities, service activities that will benefit those within Westfield and the surrounding communities, appreciation for its dedicated faculty/staff, and fun activities for its students such as an ice cream social, Olympic-style games, and spirit day.  On Friday, February 3rd, both campuses have events that invite friends and families to experience Holy Trinity School.  The Early Education Center in Mountainside will welcome grandparents/special people to spend the day in the classroom with their students.  Students from the Westfield campus will share their talents with family and friends through the school’s annual student talent show at 7:00 p.m. in the school gym.
