WESTFIELD, NJ — Westfield woke to icy roads again Monday morning as a combination of air temperatures dropping to or below freezing and residual ground moisture resulted in black ice, according to the National Weather Service.

A message on the town of Westfield’s website Monday morning reads: “Icy conditions persist through early this morning. When walking or driving, be very cautious, especially over bridges, as road conditions can change quickly if the surface looks wet.”
