“We are so grateful to The Northfield Bank Foundation for their generous grant of $20,000 for the expansion of our bereavement support programs at our new center in Mountainside!” said Stuart Arnold, Imagine Board Chair. “We are moving in the nick of time as all of our Green Groups (ages 10-12 approximately) are full. Moving into this new space will allow us to double the number of children and families we serve in the years to come. Northfield Bank Foundation has been there from the beginning for Imagine and has helped us grow over the years. We are very grateful for their consistent support.”
Imagine is currently serving over 230 children and adults every two weeks from 48 NJ towns at its center in Westfield. “The Imagine Board began planning over two years ago for a space of our own as we saw the projector of our growth,” said Dr. Jennifer Simpson, Board Treasurer. “We developed a plan and launched our Sustainability Campaign to put us in a position to lease a dedicated space of our own and expand our services. The community has been incredibly supportive of our campaign and mission.”
“It is our pleasure to support Imagine in this way and to continue to see them grow and succeed. The Northfield Bank Foundation is thrilled with their progress and our ability to help make a difference in the lives of so many children and families,” said Diane Senerchia, Executive Director of the Foundation.
Imagine offers free year-round grief support groups for children age 3-18 who have had a parent or brother or sister die, and for families coping with a family member with a terminal or chronic illness. Concurrent groups are available for parents and guardians, young adults 18-30 and adults 30 and up. Support groups meet on weekday nights for an hour and a half. Dinner is provided prior to the group meeting. To schedule an orientation for yourself or your family or for more information please contact Imagine at 908-264-3100 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
