To Whom it May Concern:
As a father of two young girls these days, birthday parties need to be magical and memorable, as life’s demands and our lightning-fast world provide few moments each year for time to stand still long enough to truly appreciate our blessings. As for magic and blessings, we were fortunate to have Once Upon a Café to open in our town of Cranford.
Dawn Mackey, the proprietor of Once Upon a Café, provided a unique and memorable experience for our parties while meeting our limited budget demands. We held many parties there, and Dawn’s creativity, dedication and attention to detail proved to be second to none. She left nothing to chance and always provided a stress-free, memory of a lifetime for all of us.
Dawn is the consummate businessperson. Given the high cost of retail space, Dawn maximized the customer experience while utilizing each square inch. She efficiently ran her business and maximized revenue by dedicating what usually would be “dead space” (where for parents watch, wait to capture moments with photos, then shuffle the kids back home after the party), to cater to these adults. Utilizing a mid-20th century candy store theme, while the children were enjoying their celebration, the adults were brought back to their childhood memories of the corner candy store, enjoying homemade and classic treats to enjoy while the party was managed by the staff. Now that’s a magical business plan!
Over the many years of doing business with Dawn, she consistently exceeded our expectations and provided lifetime memories for all. Dawn’s unique skillset of creativity, reliability, hard work and determination is sure to breed success with all of her endeavors, including her campaign for Westfield town council.
