SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ — More than 100 people attended a culinary adventure in Israeli cuisine featuring a tasting of  recipes from "Zahav," a presentation and book signing by its author, celebrity chef-restaurateur and James Beard award winner Michael Solomonov, and a screening of the film "In Search Of Israeli Cuisine" on Sunday at the JCC of Central New Jersey.

Oscar-nominated documentarian Roger Sherman's film presents a diverse portrait of the Israeli people told through the very personal language of food. Solomonov introduced the film and signed copies of his cookbooks, which were available for sale at the event.
