The popular Hale Speaker Series continues its 2018 run on Wednesday, Oct. 3, with a look at the world of digital media/online news from an expert in the field.
Westfield resident Josh Albertson, who has held executive posts with a number of firms, will speak on “Digital Media Is Dead, Long Live Digital Media” at the hour-long talk starting at 7 p.m. in the meeting room at Westfield Memorial Library, 550 East Broad St.
Albertson, the CEO of Inman Group, a media news service company, previously served as chief operating officer of Gawker Media, vice president of Vox Media, and president of Curbed Network.
He was graduated from Westfield High School and received his undergraduate degree from Brown University, where he served as editor-in-chief of The Brown Daily Herald. He was awarded his JD degree from The University of Michigan School of Law.

The Hale Series, founded by the late Hale Lee in memory of his wife, Anne, receives funding from The Anne and Lee Hale Fund and The Thomas Glasser Foundation and is hosted by the Friends of Westfield Memorial Library. Over its 11 seasons, the Hale Series has sponsored talks by scores of people with ties to Westfield.
Linnea Rhodes serves as chairman of the Hale Speaker Series committee whose other members include Tina Lesher, Ellen Albertson, Mary Orlando and Barbara Hale.
