Kids for Kids a Mindfulness Movement will be offering Kids for Kids Summer Camp in both Fanwood and Clark, New Jersey! Kids for Kids is a group of multidisciplinary professionals who are committed to bringing mindfulness to children in fun and innovative ways. We have created curriculum based, child-friendly activities, such as mindful eating, bracelet making, team building, yoga and mini meditations, slime, and more. Our goal is to build upon activities that children already know and love doing by highlighting the mindful component in each. Your children will learn how to create awareness about what they are doing and how they are feeling by engaging in these activities.

What is mindfulness and how will this relate to my children? There are a variety of definitions for what mindfulness is. We believe mindfulness is being aware of the present, both internally and externally, without judgement and with compassion. For kids, this could translate to “paying attention to what they are doing and how they are feeling more often during their day”. Mindfulness can be created by practicing short moments of awareness several times throughout your day. Here at Kids for Kids, while guided by several experienced professionals, children practice a series of “mini mindful moments”, in which repetition is the key. Mindful moments, multiple times a day, creates a continuous flow of wellness. This leads to improved attention, emotional regulation, and creates a sense of calm, which can significantly reduce anxiety and stress.

So, if you are looking for a way to enhance your child’s everyday experiences through something new like mindfulness, join us!
