WESTFIELD, NJ - As the June 4 primary election approaches, Councilman Mark LoGrippo is reminding constituents that some polling places have changed since the last election.
With the exception of Washington Elementary School, all voting previously done at Westfield elementary schools has been moved to other locations. Voters should have received information about their new polling places in the mail.
Though most town council candidates are running unopposed within their parties in this election, in the 3rd Ward Republican Candidate David Oliveira will face off against Republican Candidate Diane Barabas.
“I want to make sure that everyone is informed as to the place to vote in the primary election,” said LoGrippo, who has endorsed Oliveira.
In the 3rd Ward, residents of districts 5, 6 and 7 will now vote at Westfield High School, 550 Dorian Road. The voting booths at Westfield High School will be set up in the wrestling room, which is accessible through the doors on Trinity Place. Short-term voter parking spots will be available at WHS that day to make parking easier.

Registered Democrats and Republicans may only vote regarding their own parties in the primary. However, any New Jersey voter who has never on a previous occasion voted in a New Jersey primary election may declare a party affiliation at the poll.
