Need help with child care this fall? The Westfield Area Y offers a safe and nurturing environment for your child to learn and grow. Comprehensive and flexible options are available for children 6 months of age through 8th grade to accommodate the needs of busy parents. 

Y Child Care in Garwood provides children ages 2 ½ - 5 with full and half day care, and children in Pre K-5th grade with before and after school child care.  Drop-in care, a flexible, fun and stimulating environment for children ages 2 ½ - 5 years is available by the hour or by the day with a one-time registration fee.  For more information, contact Melinda McHale at mmchale@westfieldynj.org.

The Y’s NAEYC-accredited Preschool at the Robert& Virginia Bauer Branch offers children ages 2-5 the opportunity to discover who they are and what they can achieve.  Experienced and loving staff members lead programs in classrooms designed for exploration and hands-on learning.  For more information, contact Eileen Rooney at erooney@westfieldynj.org.

School Age Child Care programs provide children with a fun and safe learning environment before and after school.  Vacation and snow day programs are also available.  Before School Care is offered at the Main Y on Clark Street as is Kindergarten Wrap-around and extended care (6:00-6:30pm). After school programs are offered at the Main Y as well as onsite at the McKinley, Tamaques, Jefferson, Wilson and Washington schools in Westfield.
