Voting for Jim is voting for continued progress in getting Westfield back on track as a preeminent township in this great state. My wife Krista and I support Jim Boyes for Ward 1 Town Council, and we encourage your families to do the same.
My parents rooted my siblings and me in this town back in 1977. They bet on Westfield for our future. Out of this legacy — one that brought many of my classmates back to live here — should come a future that makes my own three young children proud to wager the same bet on this town that my parents did. Jim shares this perspective, and has the vision to move Westfield forward to that end.
Jim stands for clear and prudent priorities: responsible fiscal management and a focus on a Master Plan to keep Westfield on the cutting edge of municipal innovation. Jim’s professional experience as an engineer, his previous volunteer service on the Parking Advisory Committee, and his dedication to our open spaces as a member of the town’s Green Team, all show me that he wields the skills to meet the needs of Westfield’s future. It’s why I believe Jim will help usher in a greater quality of life for all our neighbors in Ward 1 as our next Councilperson.
Two years ago, the residents made a choice — a vote for our future — in electing Mayor Shelley Brindle and Councilwoman Linda Habgood. They’ve earned my trust, and we need to continue electing cogent, proactive, and common-sense town leaders. This new energy initiated the first community-driven Master Plan process, which had been left woefully neglected for decades. Thanks to them, we have a smart plan of action to revitalize our downtown, to solve our parking problem, to update our parks, and to pave our roads. Now is the time to keep building on that incredible progress.
Because of their great results so far, coupled with Jim’s fitting background, experience, and priorities, I urge you to keep Westfield on this path to the future and vote Jim Boyes for Ward 1 on November 5th.
