Lifelong Westfield has arranged to have the Senior Citizens Council of Union County present a program on Property Tax Relief on Thursday, October 24, from 2-3:30 p.m. at the Presbyterian Church of Westfield, 140 Mountain Ave. Seniors who wish to stay in their homes are encouraged to attend to learn more about property tax relief programs available to them. Seating is limited to 100 and registration is required.
Speakers from the Senior Citizens Council will explain existing property tax relief programs available to NJ residents, including income requirements, application process and deadlines. Programs to be discussed include the Senior Freeze Program; Homestead Benefit; Senior Citizens Annual Property Tax Deduction; and Property Tax Deduction for Veterans.
