Lindabury, McCormick, Estabrook & Cooper announced today that Sergio D. Simões has been named a partner of the firm. The promotion will take effect on January 1, 2015.

Based in our Westfield office, Sergio concentrates his practice in civil litigation, labor & employment, employee benefits, and real estate. He has significant appellate experience, having successfully drafted memoranda of law for appeals before the Supreme Court of New Jersey and the Appellate Division of the Superior Court of New Jersey. Prior to joining Lindabury, Sergio served as a law clerk to the Honorable Thomas N. Lyons, New Jersey Superior Court Appellate Division and as an intern to the Honorable Kenneth C. MacKenzie, New Jersey Superior Court, Morris County, Chancery Division, General Equity Part. In 2006, he received his J.D. from Albany Law School and in 2003, graduated with highest honors from Seton Hall University with a B.A. degree. Fluent in Portuguese, in 2004, he completed a Certificate program in European Union Law at the Universidade Católica Portuguesa in Lisbon, Portugal.
