Michael Dardia has announced his candidacy for Westfield Town Council, Second Ward.
A 14-year resident of Westfield and the father of two boys with his wife, Meredith, Dardia is fully entrenched in the Westfield community, especially in athletics. In addition to spending countless weekends cheering his two sons from the sidelines, Dardia has coached Westfield Youth Lacrosse for the past seven years, and he plays middle and goalie for Westfield’s Men’s Lacrosse Program (aka Team 135).
“Living in Westfield is in many ways like being part of a team. We all seem to want to get involved so that our hometown can thrive,” Dardia explained.
Off the field, Dardia is a devoted volunteer for several organizations including a Bergen County chapter of the American Diabetes Association where he is a team leader, the Cancer Foundation “STOMP the Monster” and Jewish Family Services Food Pantry.
Dardia’s dedication to helping others can also be seen in his professional life. Throughout his 20-year career in healthcare management, Dardia has developed an invaluable ability to strike a delicate balance between optimal patient care and fiscal responsibility.
“That’s a skill that should come in handy to energize our downtown and build on the strengths we already possess,” explained Dardia. He recently founded his own business, Trifecta Health Consulting, LLC. He also serves as the vice president of Operations for Partners In Care, Corp., a company focused on improving the delivery of care for independent physician practices throughout New Jersey.
Michael and Meredith’s eldest son, Theo, is a sophomore at Westfield High School, where he wrestles and plays goalie for the lacrosse team; Beckett is a freshman who plays fullback for the football team and is a lacrosse defenseman.
Dardia received his undergraduate degree in Communications from Ithaca College and a Masters in Public Administration from Kean University, where he graduated magna cum laude. Aside from lacrosse, he enjoys skiing, mountain biking and traveling the world with his family.
Michael Dardia will be kicking off his candidacy at an event on April 27 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. For more details, please visit www.dardiaforwestfield.com or on Facebook via https://facebook.com/DardiaForWestfield/.
