UNION, NJ — Police officials have provided an update to the pedestrian accident that occurred at just after 2 p.m. on Thursday in which a Burnet Middle School teacher was struck by a car at the intersection of Morris and Caldwell Avenues.
According to police, the teacher, Michael Hamilton, is being treated at University Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
At just after 2 p.m., Hamilton, 46, was struck by a vehicle heading northbound on Caldwell Avenue, as the vehicle attempted to turn left onto Morris Avenue.
The driver of the car consented to blood and urine sample testing. Her name is being withheld until the investigation is complete.
As of 4:10 p.m., all roads are open.
