WESTFIELD, NJ — Morano Gelato, called “the Best Gelato in America” by Forbes, will host a grand opening celebration on Thursday, June 8, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. The party will feature as live entertainment an accordion player and a mime, a ribbon cutting by Westfield Mayor Andy Skibitsky, giveaways and samples.
The locally owned shop, located at 116 Elm St. in Downtown Westfield, serves authentic Sicilian gelato in a variety of flavors, made each morning from Italian and local ingredients that are fresh and in-season, along with other Italian treats and beverages.
All are welcome to stop in and discover the authentic Morano Gelato difference. Morano Gelato is open 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
The Westfield shop is the company’s first franchise, joining the flagship shop in Hanover, NH, and the company-owned shop in Chestnut Hill, MA. It is owned and operated by Maurice Dayan.
