WESTFIELD, NJ — Four more Westfield High School students signed to play athletics at the next level Tuesday. These students will all be playing at the their respective sports at Division III schools.
Two will be running cross country and track & field next year: Devyn Heinzerling will be running for Gettysburg College and Aditya Singh will be running for Stevenson University.
Loukas Carayannopoulos is going to Massachusetts Institute of Technology for soccer. Noah Reich will go to Williams College for tennis.
Shannon Devitt, who signed last week to play basketball at The College of New Jersey, was also in attendance.
“I’m really excited about experiencing a new team and a new place. What I found on my visit there is that a lot of things on that team are similar to that of this team,” Singh said. “But I’m also excited to see what new things this experience has to offer.”
The athletes expressed optimism for the future.
“Since I’ve been pretty little I’ve always imagined myself playing tennis [in college],” Reich said. “I’m most excited for the team aspect — being in college and on this team with a group of people who are all working towards a common goal.”
