Cakes or cupcakes in regular or mini size are available in 10 different flavors and icing to choose from. Want something extra special? Request a novelty cake or cupcakes and choose from designs like bridal gowns and Elsa’s dress from “Frozen.”

All bridal and baby shower packages include white tablecloths, color choice for napkins and fresh flowers on the tables. Optionally, hosts can treat guests to drinks and a meet-and-greet on the outside patio in the front garden. The restaurant is BYOB and many bridal parties bring champagne, which Mulberry House can use to create mimosas.

Owners Jenna DeLorenzi (event coordinator) and Anders Goldkuhl (chef) work with the hosts to create personalized menus. All menu items that you see on the website,  www.mulberryhouserestaurant.com, are made in-house. Some of the many options available include pastries, scones, sandwiches and hot entrees.

“We hosted our daughter's bridal shower at Mulberry House Restaurant in February," nearby resident Maryann Colandrea said. “The bright, sunny upstairs rooms provided a perfect venue for 35 guests, and the entire floor was ours for the entire event. We ate in one room and opened gifts in the adjoining blue room, complete with comfortable window seats and chairs for the guests. Owner Jenna and Chef Anders made certain that everything was perfect! Jenna handled every detail with ease and warmth, including arranging our flowers in teapots on the tables, guiding us on menu choices, allowing us to customize our music and being accommodating in every possible way. She addressed guests’ food allergies as well. The food was amazing and everyone loved everything that was served, from the butternut squash soup to tea sandwiches to chocolate-dipped strawberries and creme brulee. Mulberry House offers a unique and exceptional location for special events. Highly recommended!”

Mulberry House even offers custom favors, such as tea cups with a bag of their loose leaf tea.

Westfield resident Amanda Brouillard and her husband hosted a fundraising cocktail party at Mulberry House.

“We were striving for a unique and intimate setting for our event, and Mulberry House eclipsed all our expectations. Jenna was an absolute pleasure to work with and made sure every detail, from food preparation to lighting matched our preferences. We selected Mulberry House based on its delicious menu options and charming ambiance. The evening was a rousing success and we would without hesitation recommend Mulberry House to others.”

Chef Anders Knows Food

Chef Goldkuhl, a Swede, spent 14 years cooking in Manhattan, Brooklyn and New Jersey. A graduate of The French Culinary Institute in New York, he has worked in fine dining, French bistros and even a boutique caviar restaurant.

After four years as head chef of a new American bistro in New Jersey, he opened Mulberry House with DeLorenzi, where he could perfect farm-to-table cuisine. His idea: The more simply prepared, the better. With a pinch of decadence, of course.

Jenna DeLorenzi, a Catering Pro

DeLorenzi worked in hotels and restaurants in New Jersey and New York City for several years. As an event coordinator and catering manager, her primary role has been overseeing everything from intimate events to weddings. Her many experiences taught her how to accommodate a wide variety of needs and requirements.

Through collaboration of chef and catering expertise, Goldkuhl and DeLorenzi formed a unique partnership that allows them to provide creative, high quality and delicious fare for any occasion.

“To have this chance to work and go into business with a chef whose passion, willingness, drive and uniqueness, brings out the best that Mulberry House has to offer makes it exciting to see what the future holds in the special events world,” DeLorenzi said.
