WESTFIELD, NJ — The Newcomers Club of Westfield delivered more than 800 baby items including diapers, supplies and gear last week to the Moms Helping Moms Foundation, based in North Plainfield, which provides low-income families in New Jersey with the essential baby items that they need to give their children a safe, happy and healthy start.
The items were collected throughout a two-week diaper drive run by the club’s volunteer and charity coordinators Stephanie Caprario and Beth McDonough Saad.
“We not only received support from our members but also reached out to the Westfield, NJ Moms Facebook group, who were also extremely generous,” said member Kim Palmieri-Mouded. “We would like to thank everyone who participated in this drive, which supports so many families in need.”
The Newcomers Club of Westfield, a non-profit volunteer organization, has served as a vehicle for Westfield women and their families to get to know one another and feel at home in the town of Westfield since 1944.
