WESTFIELD, NJ — In its September issue, New Jersey Monthly ranked Westfield High School No. 8 on its list of top 100 public high schools in the state. The last time the list came out, in 2014, Westfield High School was ranked No. 21. In 2012, it was ranked No. 49.
The rankings are based entirely on data reported by the schools to the state Department of Education, according to NJ Monthly.
No. 1 was Chatham. Nearby, Scotch Plains ranked No. 76.
For non-subscribers, the issue hits the newsstands Aug. 30, and the full list of 337 ranked high schools will be available on NJMonthly.com starting Sept. 1.
