The New Jersey Workshop for the Arts (NJWA) Summer Flute Ensemble, directed by Kaitlyn Killeen, will present a free, public performance on Thursday, Aug. 2, from 5 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at Morano Gelato located on 116 Elm Street in Westfield.

The group, which was a new NJWA program for the summer, will play such works as Promenade from "Pictures at an Exhibition" by Russian composer Modest Mussorgsky, Bagatelle by Austrian composer Antonio Diabelli, and Bridal Chorus from "Lohengrin" by German composer Richard Wagner.

Ms. Killeen, who has been a member of various ensembles, including the Scotch Plains Fanwood Wind Ensemble and the Susquehanna University Symphonic Band, Orchestra, and Flute Ensemble, commented, "This is my first time running my own ensemble and working with these students has been amazing. We are so grateful that Morano Gelato is giving NJWA the opportunity to perform there."

Morano Gelato, a supporter of the NJWA, sells gelato made fresh daily and is located just a block away from the NJWA Music Studio. Come and enjoy!
