WESTFIELD, NJ — A statement from Claudio and Yanella Fazio, parents of Linda Fazio, a 6-year-old Westfield girl who was hospitalized after she was found unresponsive and revived at Westfield Memorial Pool Saturday, has been posted on the GoFundMe site created for them:
The Fazio Family would like to thank everyone for the extremely generous output of support, well wishes and prayers we have received during this most challenging time. Through creating this site for us, our amazing friends Jen and Steve have allowed many people to express the sincere love they feel for our precious daughter. We would like everyone to know she feels your love and hears your prayers and well wishes. We have all the faith in the world that she is on the path to a full recovery and she continues to demonstrate her strength and courage and will to improve through all of the positive signs she continues to shows us.
Rest assured that Linda is receiving the highest level of care here at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia from an amazing staff, who not only demonstrate the highest level of medical care but a true compassion for the care of our sweet child.

We want to thank everyone who has contributed to this tremendous effort to rescue and heal Linda starting with her great friend Liza who was there by her side to call for help when this all started, all of the staff at the pool, the Medical professionals that were there just at the right time and acted without hesitation, the paramedics and the police, all of the doctors, nurses, technicians, counselors, housekeepers, security guards and hospital workers in general at all three of the hospitals she has attended, the helicopter pilot, our friends and relatives from the US, Peru, Italy, Canada, Ireland, Germany, Honduras and I'm sure other parts of the world, and above all God who has overseen the entirety of this miracle. This is truly a miracle that is happening and we are forever grateful.
Nearly $25,000 has been raised to help the Fazio family since Monday. To contribute, click here.
A community prayer service for Linda is planned for Wednesday, June 29 at 7 p.m. at St. Helen’s Church in Westfield.
