WESTFIELD, NJ — 16 Prospect Wine Bar & Bistro in Downtown Westfield will host a fundraiser this weekend benefiting the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of New Jersey. The event is organized by Ivy Charmatz, a Westfield native.
“As a candidate for LLS’s Woman of the Year campaign, I am dedicated to raising as much money as possible for this incredible charity,” Charmatz said. “It’s an honor to be involved with an organization that not only funds life-saving research, it also provides emotional, educational and financial support to patients and their families dealing with a blood cancer diagnosis.”
The event will take place on Sunday, April 29, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Tickets are $50 each in advance, $60 at the door, and include wine, beer, food and entertainment. A silent auction will also be held.
“This event is sure to be an amazing Sunday,” Charmatz said. “Delicious food and drinks with fun people — including a very special guest — and a silent auction, all to benefit an important and extremely worthy cause.”
Tim Boyle, the owner of 16 Prospect, has been “incredible,” according to Charmatz.
“It’s not only a great establishment, it’s also a local business that places a big emphasis on giving back to causes that are important to the community,” she said. “Westfield is very lucky to have Tim and his bistro in town.”
