PLAINFIELD, NJ — Plainfield Police Division has confirmed there were two shootings in the city on Monday evening, July 10.

Around 9:20 p.m. Plainfield Police units responded to reports of a shooting victim on the 500 block of West 7th Street.  A 39-year-old man was found with a gunshot injury. He was transported by EMS to an area hospital in stable condition, police said.

Plainfield Police units also responded to the 300 block of West Front Street on a report of another shooting at approximately 9:37 p.m., where they found a 34-year-old Hispanic manwith a gunshot injury. He was also transported by EMS to an area hospital in stable condition, according to police.

At this point it is unknown if the two shootings are related. Detectives are investigating, and anyone with additional information is asked to call 908-753-3360.
