ROSELLE PARK, NJ — Roselle Park Police say that they have responded to four separate instances of purported threats to the Roselle Park High School in the past two weeks.
According to Lt. Manuel Jimenez, "Detectives have positively identified two of the people involved and appropriate charges have been filed. There are two incidents that are currently still under active investigation and pending identification of the actor(s). Due to the nature of these incidents and the age of the parties involved, no further information can be revealed."
Police say that, in each incident, immediately upon notification to police, the Roselle Park High School and any related locations where secured and searched for any possible evidence to substantiate the threat.
The Union County Sheriff’s Office and the Roselle Park Fire Department has assisted the Police Deptartment in clearing the High School for students and staff to return and proceed to their daily schedule with as little disruption as possible.
At this time, the Roselle Park High School has been cleared to resume with normally scheduled events.
